Tata Motors to assemble commercial vehicles in Tunisia

Tata Motors
and its Tunisian partner ICARS S.A. , the industrial subsidiary of Le Motor SA,
have announced the launch of Tata Motors light commercial vehicle assembly in
Tunisia.
In the
presence of her Excellency, the Ambassador of the Republic of India, Nagma
Mohamed Mallick and RT Wasan, Head – International Business, Commercial
Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motors, the company stated that they will produce
pickups and light commercial vehicles in Tunisia in June 2015.
The vehicles
that are to be produced in Tunisia are the Tata Xenon as a single cab 4X2 and
the Double cab 4X4 making it the most powerful pickup truck in the Tunisian
market with 140bhp. Along with the Xenon, the Ace and the Super Ace will also
be produced in Tunisia available from September 2015.
